Promoted Pins – Pinterest’s new advertisement model

Quite recently, Pinterest had decided to launch its new advertisement unit, ‘Promoted Pins’. This was the time when it was inviting big brands to spend big bucks into being a part of its advertising campaign.

At that time, it had decided to charge up to 1 million dollars per campaign. The whopping amount immediately ruled out small and medium sized brands from promoting themselves via this website.

But now it seems that Pinterest has chosen a different route by starting ‘Promoted Pins’ for more users, that follows a Facebook like structure of online advertisement. Brands can start by picking the pins of their choice, which should be made available against Pinterest searches, followed by targeting the users who would see the ads.

Brands will only have to pay when users click though their website. Pinterest will also provide analytics to track which pins are getting most impressions, repins and clicks.

As Soft System Solution is keeping an eye on the latest happening of Social Media, it is waiting to see how Pinterest’s new advertising model turns out eventually. Follow us on Google Plus
